Upon coming to Oklahoma three years ago to start my family, I promised my mother I would find our ancestry and delineation. I wanted not only to find from which we came, but to apply it in a real way that changed the day to day struggle. When I found it, I promised her I would stop contracting in a name other than one my ancestors would approve of on her birthday June 28th, 2010
Through my studies and research, I have found that many of the issues that African Americans face today can be avoided and reversed with a simple state of mind correction, for those that truly want it.
Despite all that may be happening around us, we have all heard from our elders that we can become whatever we choose if we put our hearts and our minds to it. Another saying that comes to mind is, â??the Creator has already Blessed use with all you could ever ask for and more.â?? To me this means, we already have the answer within us before we can think of the questions. Our higher power is already broadcasting; we just have to turn our â??radios,â?? to the correct station.
It was with this in mind on Tuesday June 29th, 2010 that I went into the office to ask for a leave of absence. The ten-week unpaid leave requested to care for my newly born son, was denied for lack of tenure. As politely as I could, I said I would be leaving anyway. I left the HR office with the suggestion from the HR head that I return after the fourth of July holiday to speak to management Tuesday, July 6th, 2010.
Instead, I returned to the office on Tuesday July 6th, 2010 with intentions to turn in my corporate ID and headset. After that, I received a tip that I would be arrested if found in the building, so I left and went home.
On July 12th, 2010, on the way to my sonâ??s doctorâ??s appointment with my family, I was arrested with no explanation, until the FBI asked if I wanted to speak to them concerning a â??bomb threat.â?? Perplexed as to how all this could happen I sat in a detention center for two weeks while my wife mother and other family members worked to raise 10% of a 50,000.00 bail.
An employee on my team whom I did not have much contact with has stated that I said, â??If you hear a boom, itâ??s me.â?? In reference to not getting the leave of absence. To me, this doesnâ??t make sense because the leave would have been without pay. However, my correspondence with the HR head was cordial with no tempers at all.
Furthermore, they are saying (Human Resource head and the accuser) that this all happened on July 1st, two days after I was there and sent an email requesting a leave of absence. The police report has the wrong date as well as a camera view of my leaving the building with a time stamp showing [7/01/10 16:23]. The last time I was there before the 6th of July was June 29th, 2010. This leads me to believe, there is a conspiracy to give me a police record when I have none and to lock me up when I have not committed any crime.
I am asking for your help, time, resources or money to help my family defend ourselves from the injustice that has already taken place. Thank you for reading.
